Job Context:
The Website Content Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing website content strategies that drive user engagement and increase website traffic. They collaborate designers, developers, and writers to ensure that website content meets business objectives, brand guidelines, and user needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing exhaustive research to gain in-depth knowledge of all website visitors.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and writers to create compelling website content, including landing pages, blog posts, product descriptions, and other content types.
- Strategizing content pillars and sub pillars.
- Optimize website content for search engines, including conducting keyword research and implementing SEO best practices.
- Create and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality content.
- Overseeing writing style and tone for all content.
- Conduct research on user behavior, market trends, and industry best practices to inform website content decisions.
- Developing editorial strategy, so content is consistent across all delivery platforms including social media.
- Conducting periodic content audits
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in website content strategy and make recommendations for adoption.
- Tracking and calculating content ROI
- Monitor website analytics to evaluate content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
Additional Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in website content strategy, preferably in an Affiliate Marketing.
- Strong understanding of user behavior and website usability.
- Experience with SEO best practices and keyword research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
